The Sentinel invited all candidates in the four contested local races on the Nov. 3 ballot - Murray City Council, Calloway County judge-executive, 4th District magistrate and 4th District constable - to introduce themselves to voters and answer questions specific to the offices they are seeking.

Candidates were asked to submit introductory statements of up to 400 words and answer three office-specific questions, with a limit of 100 words per answer.

Invitations were sent to the email addresses candidates registered with the Kentucky Secretary of State's office. All candidates in each race were sent the same questions, submission guidelines and deadline.

Candidate statements and responses are published without editing or reformatting, including any errors in spelling, grammar or punctuation. Submissions exceeding the stated word limits are cut off at those limits.

Submissions are being published as they are received. The stories below appear in publication order.
